Help for those who will work in underserved or rural areas
There are often programs to help individuals pay for their healthcare training if they then agree to work for underserved and rural areas for some time. This is true of the Michigan Nursing Scholarship which even helps prospective nurses with their living expenses. This particular program is for LPN students.
Michigan Nursing Scholarship
This is for students who are willing to work in very rural areas of the state as a nurse after they receive their nursing degree. LPN students are among those who can apply for this scholarship if they do not mind working in a more remote location for a while after obtaining their LPN degree. The program helps students to cover the cost of their training. The program is meant to help make sure there are enough nurses in these rural areas.
